Ah, duct tape: The miracle invention whose many uses rarely have anything to do with ducts. Here in Reno, it’s more likely to be made into a wallet.
If you’re ready to explore the wonders of duct tape yourself, learn to make a wallet in Turi Becker’s next Got Duct Tape? class at the South Valleys Library. Call him at 851-5190 to find out when the next class is scheduled.
You can also try it at home by following these step:

How to make a duct tape wallet

1. Tear off a piece of tape a little longer than the wallet you wish to make (usually 9+ inches.)
2. Lay this piece sticky side up on your work surface.
3. Place another piece of tape (same length) sticky side to sticky side, overlapping the first piece by halfway lengthwise.
4. Fold one of the sticky sides onto the shiny side, so that only one sticky side remains exposed.
5.  Flip the tape over so that the remaining sticky side is up and add another piece again overlapping the sticky side by half.
6. Flip and repeat until the sheet of shiny-side duct tape will fold into the size wallet you want.
7. Fold the remaining sticky side over onto the shiny side.
8. Trim one end straight, and the other end to make the wallet the length you want it.
9. Fold into a wallet shape and tape the ends with a short piece of tape, folding sticky sides to sticky sides.
10. Trim ends.
11. Figure out a way to make pockets. Can be smaller versions of same wallet, just taped on.
